Netflix has officially announced the production of a new drama series titled “Two Women,” featuring Kim Go Eun, Park Ji Hyun, and Kim Gun Woo.
The show, directed by Jo Yeong-min and written by Song Hye-jin, explores the intertwined lives of Eun Joong and Sang Yeon, portrayed by Kim Go Eun and Park Ji Hyun, respectively.
The storyline follows Ryu Eun Joong (Kim Go Eun), an ordinary yet captivating woman with a unique charm, and her closest friend and rival, Cheon Sang Yeon (Park Ji Hyun). Their friendship, filled with both admiration and jealousy, evolves from their elementary school days into their 20s and 30s. The narrative reaches a poignant moment when, at the age of 42, they reunite as Sang Yeon faces a challenging battle with cancer.
Kim Gun Woo, known for his role in “The Glory,” takes on the character of Kim Sang Hak, a popular college senior and passionate photographer deeply connected to both Eun Joong and Sang Yeon. The drama promises to reflect on their lives, from school days to adulthood, highlighting the profound influence they’ve had on each other.
The series, known for its bittersweet exploration of friendship, is anticipated to resonate with viewers as it unfolds the complexities of the characters’ relationships and life journeys.
