Itaewon Class Review
Itaewon Class is a Korean drama of 16 episodes aired from January 31 to March 21, 2020, on the JTBC channel in Korea. Now, it is available worldwide to watch on Netflix.

It is one of the popular dramas of 2020. The drama is based on a webtoon of the same name.
Summary –
Park Saeroyi with his companions opens a pub named “Danbam” to compete against the Jangga group, the biggest company of Korea in the food industry.
Main Characters

Park Seo Joon plays the role of “Park Saeroyi” who is the leading character of the drama. He is a hard guy who never gives up & inspires others not to give up. A character from which we can learn something.

Kim Da Mi plays the role of “Jo Yi Seo” who is a talented girl with a lot of followers on social media. (SP!) She develops a crush on Park Saeroyi & offers to work as a manager in Danbam pub.

Kwon Na Ra plays the role of “Oh Soo Ah” who is the first love of Park Saeroyi. (SP!) She is offered to work in the Hanja group after the accident & becomes an employee.

Yoo Jae Myung plays the role of “Jang Dae Hee” who is the CEO of the Jangga group. He is the one against whom Saeroyi competes. (SP!) He is the father of Jang Geun Won, who killed Saeroyi’s father.

Ahn Bo Hyun plays the role of “Jang Geun Won” who is the son of Jang Dae Hee. He was a classmate of Park Saeroyi.
Plot
Don’t read if you haven’t watched the drama & don’t want spoilers.
Park Saeroyi gets expelled from high school after punching Jang Geun Won. Later, Geun Won gets into an accident in which Saeroyi’s father dies.
When Saeroyi comes to know, he attacks Geun Won but is caught by the police & jailed for 3 yrs. While in jail, he reads the autobiography of Jang Dae Hee & gets motivated to take his father’s revenge.
Seven years later after working in fisheries, Saeroyi starts a pub named Danbam along with his staff members Choi Seung Kwon & Ma Hyun Yi. Later, Jo Yi Seo, Jang Geun Soo & Tony Kim joins them.
Yi Seo loves Saeroyi but he likes Soo Ah (love triangle). Geun Soo also likes Yi Seo & later leaves Danbam to work for Jangga & ruin Saeroyi.
Through a lot of struggles, Saeroyi forms a company named I.C. (Itaewon Class). Jangga’s illegal activities are exposed forcing the company to close. Dae Hee kneels before Saeroyi to save his company.
Why You Should Watch?
If you love Park Seo Joon, you will definitely have to watch Itaewon Class. The drama is inspiring & a lot of motivation can be taken from the character Park Saeroyi.
The drama starts off slow. There are several episodes that set up Saeroyi’s backstory. But it is important to know the enemity between the Jang family & him. Later, the drama takes up some pace
The drama also talks about racism & transgender issues. It shows how the world sees them & how they can change their mind. What they can do, what they can achieve.
Saeroyi believes in other people. His staff have been rejected from society, but he takes them in, regardless of their improper background or ability, and starts a pub with them. He knows that they will work hard.

The drama includes the struggle of the main character, how he manages to get revenge, manage his love life & inspire others to never give up.
(SP!) Talking about the ending, everything gets right on the track. Saeroyi has succeeded in taking his revenge & has got Yi Seo besides him. Soo Ah is awstruck seeing the new chef (Park Bo Gum). Overall, HAPPY ENDING!
